Sustainable development governance and assessment; particular experience in sustainable food and energy systems and interactions between climate change, natural resource management and food and nutrition security

Before IIED
  • Natural Resources Officer and, prior to that, Programme Officer (Global Bioenergy Partnership Secretariat) at the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO)
  • Policy adviser at the UK’s Department for Environment, Food and Rural Affairs (Defra).

Education

Ph.D. in theoretical physics (Imperial College, London) and M.Phys. in physics (Oxford)

Current work

Engaging with the post-2015 development agenda/SDG processes through the Independent Research Forum (IRF2015) and the LDC Independent Expert Group
